What gets me about economist and economic theories is that often the discussion is highly influenced by partisanship. Big-government Dems will argue that the economy needs more government spending and thus raising our taxes. Pro-business Repubs will argue that businesses need tax credits thus complicating the tax code and making it harder to follow the law. No one seems to actually care about CITIZENS. Why can’t government just leave us alone? Make a simply and reasonable tax code and keep government out of our private lives. Make laws that neither favor nor are biased against anybody. We, the people, will be just fine. LEAVE US ALONE!
